Pure Food Norway AS (PFN) was established in 2014. A committed group of people with long experience from production, trade and industry wanted to collaborate on developing and producing new healthy and nutritious foods that are “good for you”.

We want to offer healthy, nutritious and safe FREE FROM quality products to our consumers. Our goal is to make it easier for people to have a healthy and nutritious ”good for you” diet. In Pure Food´s products you can rest assured that you are not only getting a naturally high nutritional content but also products with a great taste.

 

IT ALL STARTED WITH SPROUTS

 

Pure Food Norway were the first company in Norway that started collaborating with Norske Spirer on innovating the production process of vegetable sprouts. Norske Spirer is the first and oldest producer of sprouts in Norway. Nowadays you find our sprout mixes in all Meny supermarkets.

 

NUTRITIONAL GLUTEN-FREE PRODUCTS

 

At Pure Food Norway we have a great passion for gluten-free baking and cooking. We are working towards making it easier to find good nutritious and healthy gluten-free alternatives. Gluten-free ingredients can be challenging to work with in terms of nutritional content and taste. As a consequence we have been working on finding the best naturally gluten-free ingredients to deliver nutritious, healthy and tasty products. Today we have a good selection of carefully tested recipes for gluten-free bread, rolls, flour and bake mixes. All our products are vegan, without wheat starch and of course gluten-free.

 

THE HANDSPEAKING COMMUNITY A HANDBAKING OPPORTUNITY

 

Our gluten-free bread are baked by a handspeaking community with a handbaking opportunity.

The Rycon Bakery is providing job satisfaction and a unique workplace for the deaf/hearing impaired and the deafblind community.

 

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

 

We have high goals and ambitions when it comes to product development. Pure Food Norway are conducting an extensive product development in collaboration with professionals in Norway, the Czech Republic aswell as the Netherlands. We are also blessed with support from The Research Council of Norway on several of our innovative projects. This has resulted in several new products in the category FUTURE FOOD, this is products developed from natural food and produced through a new freeze-drying process in Norway.
